People of Pharaoh’s Believer


Who is he?: More likely, he is a cousin of Pharaoh. He was the first who believes Moses, then he concealed his faith temporarily; Allah the Almighty has praised his faith in Manifest Signs of Sûrat Gâfir; when he stood in the public to defend Moses, after Pharaoh suggested to his Chiefs to kill him in a cold-blood, under the pretext of maintaining the religion and the fight against corruption in the earth; so he was one of the former to faith, and one of the Nations winners; it came in some Islamic sources attributed to the era of prophecy, that the Nations winners are three, they are Ali bin Abi Talib, Habib al-Najjar the village believer in Yâ-Sîn, and Haskell believer of Pharaoh’s People.

His name: The authors of the stories differed on the believer of Pharaoh’s name, it is Simon, or Goliath, or Khrbel, or Sabot, or Shimon, and most likely that his name was Simon Ibn Isaac, or Haskell Ibn Sayboura. The Holy Kur’Ân did not mention his name, just as it did not mention many names which associated with many stories and events cited in the Manifest Signs; so that the Qur’an is a divine guidance book, came to focus on the lesson and wisdom, and the conclusive argument, and the continued divine practice, and the major issues of religion, which has no role of the names, titles, attributes and functions. Thus the Qur’an neglected countless names, such as the one who disputed with Ibrahim, who passed on an empty village, those who brought forward the lie, those of you who turned back on the day the two hosts met, those who before them had homes, Aziz and his wife, and the King and the two companions of the prison … etc.

His identity: It is well-known that the Believer of People of Pharaoh was a Copt from senior statesmen at the court of the Pharaoh; the scholars among the exegetes responded at the say that he was Israeli, under the evidence of Pharaoh’s emotion to his words in public, listening to him carefully, and the acceptance to him at the end, where he stopped the killing of Moses; if he was Israeli he would deal treat him with punishment. People of Pharaoh’s Believer was one of three of the palace people believed in Moses, the second one of them is the man who warned Moses of a plot to assassinate him, and advised him to go out of Egypt, before the prophecy; and the first one of them was the wife of Pharaoh, Allah has sets her as an example to those who believe.

Confrontation: Pharaoh’s proposal to kill Moses came, after the Prophet stood up between his hands, in the presence of his Chiefs, then he declared Allah’s message to them, and ordered them and forbade them, Pharaoh asked him a Sign on what he says, then Moses showed him the Great Sign, represented by the rod which he threw and behold! It was a serpent, plain (for all to see), and the hand that he putted in his bosom then he drew it out, and behold! It was white to all beholders! without stain (or harm), but the contexts of the story maybe suggested that the sermon of the man believer, it was during the decisive confrontation after the victory of Moses, and the declaration of the magicians faith after the miracle rod swallows up what they fake, in the day festival; Pharaoh’s decision of Moses murder was a bad reaction, after the tyrant having tasted severe defeat, crushed his pride revelations and warnings; they do not use for people who do not believe.

Argument: In a tyrant reaction, Pharaoh wanted to pass his decision to kill Moses, and supported it by consent of the public, the issue almost goes beyond words to action, except for People of Pharaoh’s Believer lecture; He spoke demonstrating the futility and the superficiality of the idea of killing Moses, revealing many of the blemishes therein; So what Moses said to deserve murder? a man said – any man – “My Lord is Allah” is not a good enough reason to kill him, so how about if presented clear evidence, about truth of what he says; he can be either a liar, the sin of his liar on him, or he can be either honest, there is no reason to kill him; but must be exposure to some welfare that he is promising, seeking protection from the Chastisement which he threaten with!. From the perspective of adherence of the state, power and dominance, the man believer spoke to Pharaoh and his Chiefs remind him that they have today force and power, who can protects them, if the punishment of Allah whish Moses speaks about come? and who deliver whom the decree of punishment?

Apart from the charge: While the king remind the public that he is Pharaoh, his thought and all what he lead with or guide with is right itself, People of Pharaoh’s Believer words had seemed convincing both Chiefs and him; the man is not accused in his loyalty, he is from People of Pharaoh, it is supposed that he speaks out of concern to the throne and his owner; and what was lies, injustice and the killing of innocent people, other than destructive shovels to topple thrones! Thus the man believer words derived from those ideas and thoughts, its strength in Pharaoh, his ministers and his men souls, even though the word of Pharaoh, which summarizes the principle of all tyrants in every era and region: {I but point out to you that which I see (myself); nor do I guide you but to the Path of Right!}.

Demises of the ancients: The man believer returned to talk, he realized an acceptance and interest to his opinion and what he says, then he gave evidence from human history, boosted with it his fears of the consequences of disbelieve Moses or touching him; it has been, as before Egypt Pharaoh and his, Chiefs, parties, nations and folks, rejected the messengers of Allah, he destroyed them by different types of chastisement; he destroyed people of Noah by the deluge, Âd people of Hûd by wind, Thamûd people of Sâlih by the (mighty) Blast; and after those many others met reward for their positions of the messages of Allah. The man believer then returned to the history of Egypt itself, reminding the public by Joseph, when he came with Signs, but the people live in doubt of what he came to them with, and after his death they wished that Allah does not send them a messenger after him, and this is the nature of those wasteful doubts, which is the error wagon.

The resolution fell: The eloquent sermons persuaded, and the frightening warnings which carried in People of Pharaoh’s Believer speech, it convinced the public present, at least, that the killing of the prophet Moses, is the idea is not a thing to feel secure from of its consequences, and there is no convincing reason to perpetrate it, therefore there is no need for it ; because the tyrant Pharaoh is extremely aversion to face the stark reality, he is mocking a lot on what around him and those around him, he has begin to change the subject; thus with a maneuver collected between rude irony and  pretending to equity and validation, the tyrant turned to Haman, who was minister in charge of building and construction, and issued him to build lofty  palace, perhaps he mount up to attain the ways and means of (reaching) the heavens, and that he may lock up to the God of Moses !!.

Unmasking: The man believer returned to speak, after he reassured on the life of Moses, strong logic and his intelligence, tact, and his appreciation of the value of time, he did not hesitate to reveal the truth about his deep faith in Allah and the last day; he have decided to convert the subject to an open invitation to Allah, and defense what Moses call to; he did no waste time and went to speak directly to his people in the public of Pharaoh; he propagandize them to follow the right path, which he calls to, reminding them of the lower of this world, and its little belongings obsolescent, and the fact that the afterlife is the house and the stable home, and its currency is deed of righteousness, its commodity is paradise, where a living without expense; counterweight in his invitation amounting between calling his people to the religion of Allah, which is the road to salvation, and their invitation for him to polytheism which is the way to the fire.

Deliverance: People of Pharaoh’s Believer completed his eloquent sermons preaching, delegating the matter to Allah who is well sees and acquainted, after having warned the public that they will retain his sermons one day, with a sigh and regret; the believer of Pharaoh picked the result of trust in Allah, he deliver from craftiness of People of Pharaoh, and what encircle them of punishment; and who accrue to the conservation and the prevention of abuse, but by means of rely on Allah, the right of trust and rely on him, including not differ from his practice!
